hi guys,
i swapped a mazdaspeed engine in a mp3 protege.
but i lost the speedometer, because the mp3 doesn't have the ABS.

So i want to machine the LSD to install a gear on it, but i don't know what to say to my machinist...
anybody did it before?

I will apreciate any info or picture of how i can install a gear on the lsd, because i have no idea of what i have to do !

I'm confused.... The msp and mp3 share the same 2.0lmotor, so I'm guessing. U put a LSD from a msp in it aswell, but sadly I never heard of this, someone else on here should know better.

the LSD is not machined to fit the speedo gear from cars that don't use wheel speed sensors. the msp uses the ABS/wheel speed sensor to determine MPH on the speedometer. i would not machine the LSD. i would shave the gear to slide over the nose of the differential. speedo gears are less than $20. LSDs are over $500. i'd rather break the cheap part by machining it than the expensive part.

I did not know that... however my car is a bit of an embarassment at the moment... lots of salt on it, 15" steels, and a messed up front lip... stupid winter! My gf is working, so I may try to come down. What's the location?
