New Engine Build

Ok guys I bought my motor, the car is being hauled off to the shop to be built. If anyone has any recomendations for parts to get for it let me know. Im an open book. Ill be gettin 8:5.1 Arias Pistons and Pauter Rods. Im kinda confused on what gear brand i should go with and what gears are most important. Mainly wanna get the car on the road and drive and build more afterwards. Here is my current list.

1. FMIC
2. Boost Controller
3. Turbo Timer
4. BOV
5. Suspension Work (lowered, GT Spec goodies)
6. 3 inch Exhaust with downpipe
7. Injen Cold Air Intake
8. Short Shifter

Looking forward to hearing from all, this build will be huge so any help I Can get would be great.

be sure they use good ass baskets like a COMMETTIC GASKET SET, also make sure they use all ARP head studds, and while its out if you need a new clutch and flywheel go ahead and do it well the car is apart.

YES HE IS THE MAN, the only reason i know half of what i do about this car is BC of him and i ask alot of questions... im sure i get old though... ask away remeber its your hard earned cash you laying down dont ever forget that!!!!

well if you are in search for some springs i have some S-techs that i will be selling in about 2 months, they have roughly 2k on them, installed them 3 days before i lost my license lol, and then when i got my license back i blew the motor 2 weeks later, so they are barely even broken in yet. shoot me a pm if you interested in them. I picked up some BC racing coils when i bought all my stuff for the motor.

thanks man well number one i need to know when to run new gears and what is the best.....right now im not gonna upgrade the fuel rail or injectors because im not tryin to make all the power now....only about 210whp when i get i back then we can dump big money like cpu, fuel rail. injectors,gears, more boost...you know what im sayin....who im not tryin to go more than 320whp really...i want the motor to be over done for what ill run it, bulletproofing is what im tryin to do. help a brother out.any part and all parts.

lol ya it really sucked. within in the past 8 months my car as been driven maybe 2 months lol...... if that.

but once its back up and runing 80k on the body, 25k on the tranny and 0k on the motor haha.

But for gears PAR and GTX

Ken has GTX which the prices is not bad all, 3rd and 5th gear.

But before you even think about doing gears, you def. want to get a better LSD.

This one is the best and to this day i dont think there has been on that broke, just expensive and requires a lil modifactions

are there any downfalls to using 3rd and 5h with that brand and 4thbgear in a different brand? and why only those gears arent any others in trouble of breaking?

most of the power and torque being applied that does damage is in the higher gears. in terms of GTX gears, there are no 4th gears available, as the GTX gears come from older mazdas that are long out of production.

What!! How the heck did he do that... Some guy on youtube is running a HTA3582 turbo, aeb head with 3653 cams and is stroked to a 2.2L, and hes doing over 589whp on pump gas with 25psi. Thread (http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4122376&page=1)
