I tried to look up reviews about this piece but didn't find anything. Anyone who has one does it make the exhaust backfire or pop? Does it perform well? Any replys would be appreciated

there are good reviews about it. Everyone with it as far as I remeber didn't have any problems with it. From what I understood it was designed for the speed 3/6

Seems like you would get the best out of both recirculating and venting to atmosphere. Suck no speed3's in this area have any aftermarket mods on there cars

I've had the Forge, Greddy and HKS and now the Turbosmart. I think it performs great and I'm sticking with it. I get a small pop between shifts sometimes but its no big deal. The car runs great overall.

I want this valve soo bad! Too bad it is $320 though. As soon as I get my Corksport SRI inlet pipe combo in a couple of weeks, this valve goes on my to do list.

I love my turbosmart. I hear some pops every now and then but nothing serious. It is really well made and I think it is totally worth it.

I'm up in the pensacola area, My parents live down in Ocala. Seems like there are a couple ms3's in that area. Nice, I'll most likely get this piece then. You get what you pay for, and it looks like a great product

I left it set at as it came from SU. I may go just a bit softer with it but they set it up already at SU so you don't really need to adjust it much if at all once installed.
Not trying to jack but is anyone running the TS compact series full recirc? Looks like an alternative to the Forge for similar money but I don't see SU listing it as applicable to the MS3. I don't see any reason you can't use it unless there it requires a mounting adapter and nobody is making one for it. Looks no different than the hybrid as far as that goes.

Just to put the information out there my BOV is set about half way. If you start from the red line at the fully loose setting it is 2 and three quarter turns up from there. If you start from the full hard setting it is 3 and a quarter turns down from the top.
Again every car is different but this worked for me. I occasionally get a light pop between gears but it is rare.
I feel a whole lot more of top end torque with my setting. I feel the pull all the way to redline now.

I have an update. I installed a Turbo Inlet and I had to loosen the valve setting at least two full turns.

^^ Thanks RichB for the info... I noticed a change since my inlet install as well so I'll need to adjust the valve

I thought the whole point of the turbosmart was to prevent popping and backfiring.. from what ive heard its not any louder than hks or forge....
So what exactly is the advantage for the extra 100

well, for one its an easy fitment unlike the hks. and u can run it recirc, vta, or 50/50 unlike either valve. the forge you can only run it recirc. but im really not that sure why they think its ok to charge people over 300 dollars for the thing.

Because it's priced to market, not to cost, just like most of the goodies for this car.

I do think it is a very well designed valve tho. The fitament is perfect and it is so easy to change configurations.

I agree on the design, top notch. Also, maybe theres some sort of import tax on aussie stuff.
