View Full Version : How many RPMs does your car idle when warm?

Mine is usually at 400RPMs and it bounces to 450 to 350. Are any of your cars that low or should I get mine checked? What could be wrong?

should be 750-800

your egr probably needs to be cleaned.

You are misreading your tachometer. The first mark represents 500, so my guess is you mean 850-900 instead of 350-400. If your car was idling at 350, you would stall.

So there's a pic showing where it idles. That's 700RPMs then, right?

Service manual says it should be 650-750 RPM. But hey, if you want music, that's why we have that kick-ass sound system in our cars (yupnope)

slav sorry i grown out from the and i quote "KICK ASS SOUND SYSTEM" plus i dont have a dj in the car to banging some music.... but hey thats jus me u do what u do :)
