has anyone tried frenching the side turn signals? what i mean is making them flush with the body panel, i think it would look really clean to have some flat turn signals with tint over them so they blended into the fender...
just a passing thought

Not really sure it's possible without some pretty major bodywork. You'd have to cut into the body where they're mounted to make a hole to remount them in, then have custom-molded plastic coverings to stay flush with the car.

Other option would be to find some thin LED strips and use those instead, wouldn't be flush but it would be flatter, and probably look really dumb.

I personally like the side signals, gives the car personality :)

i agree, it would be less work to take the signals off and fill the hole. i think tinted signals and rear reflectors would look cool too (especially on a black mica like mine), i just had a thought and was wondering if anyone had seen it

yeah, thats what i think i will end up doing eventually, i saw somewhere some rear reflectors that were smoked, but had lights in them that you could tie into your headlights, signals or brake lights. i may end up doing that if i can ever find them again

Spray tint them yourself! Thats wat i did.. Its alot cheaper than buying new ones. Unless you just want them to light up.

Do a Google search for smoked mazdaspeed 3 reflectors(or something to that effect.) Several places sell the LED smoke reflectors. Just can't think of any off the top of my head. (eek2)
