View Full Version : help removing mp3 wing

welp i searched and didnt find anything.. i took off the 4 screws and i can get the left side up. the middle and the right seems to be stuck. is there a screw in the middle where theres a black piece covering it?

seems like the part you circled would be part of wing. according to my spare mp3 wing theres only one in middle. i can't get my sedan wing off either. i got four noticeable ones but seems there are some hiding

yes...there was two on both ends and 1 in middle. hopefully that is all there is to it on yours! when you finish could you measure how far the middle hole is from the end holes? i'm scared to drill a hole into my trunk when i goto do it so i want to be very precise!

haha i'll measure it for you. so i cut the black cover onthe middle screw, pulled the cover off and took that screw off. the right side still doesnt wanna come off lol. and yea, its hard to see on the first pic but you are correct. there are 2 on each side.

someone might have used silicone or something on it if it was leaking before you bought the car...i would just try giving it a good firm pull...but thats just my 2 cents

or maybe try tapping the studs lightly with a hammer...

ahhhh. yeah theres a lotta sticky icky stuff under the right side. its slowly coming off. i'll get it eventually lol

yeah thanks for the pic! i got it off. i just kept prying softly and carefully with a butter knife and kinda cuttin the goo away haha. success! i swear that butter knife was so much help removing so many parts off that car lol
