i dumb question, how do you guys read the CEL codes when the CEL comes on?

you plug a scanner into the obdII port. go to an autoparts store and they will do it for free. or you can buy a scanner.
a code reader should have come with the msp!

I got mine from Walmart for around $60. It reads the codes, and also allows you to erase them. I originally bought it to use once then take it back (I'm cheap LOL) but I ended up liking it and it's really saved me when I needed it, quick and easy to use, then I come on here and type in the code and find out how to solve it.

Yep you can get a code scanner on line. Actron makes a decent one for around $65. What kind of exhaust are your running as I bet you have an 02 related cel?

i have the stock exhaust, i don't have a CEL code right now.
Several months ago i have a CEL problem but i fix it, i was thinking that it may usefull have a code scanner.
