Foglight/headlight bypass...

Forgive me if this has already been asked and answered, but I couldnt find out how to do it. If there is already a thread, link please...
I saw on my way home from work this morning a regular Mazda3 5 door with the fogs on, but not the head lights. Seeing as I am unable to do this on my Speed3 (Sport, standard headlights) as a standard capability, I would be really interested in doing this. Thanks in advance.

with the first link, does anybody know if you flip the foglight switch off if it will still cut off or not?

Is there any difference between the two? If not, it seems the 2nd set of instructions (the hid post one) seems like a much easier option!
