Got this inlet from my buddy Jarod.... I had read some minor complaints about the RPMC one and the darkstar one just did not look ideal for a SRI setup IMO. So, I ended up getting this and I could not be happier. Thing that it has vs the RMPC that I like is the rolled ends and it's cheaper :). Let's start off with some pics.

Comes with everything you need to do the install... vac hose, 3 hose clamps (only need 2, but hey 1 extra is nice just incase). First thing you gotta do is take out the battery.

Then remove old and put on new! I put the on silicone coupler first, but looking back it probably would made sense to attach it to the inlet, and then the whole thing onto the turbo second.

Nice to finally have an unrestricted intake system!

Put the battery box back on and this is how it fits... perfect

No clearance issues to be worried about that I could find. My catch can hoses were kinda in the way, I need to find a different route for them.

Turbo spool sound is awesome and noticeably louder/slightly different tone...not quite as high pitched. My BPV sounded a little quieter too, but still audible and plenty loud with a FMIC and 19 psi! Butt dyno is very happy to my suprise... I don't know if it makes a difference now that I have pretty much every other breather mod, because I know guys who get inlets will only a few boltons don't seem to notice much. Either way, great inlet, looks like the best yet so far for this car. I was going to wait for Cobb's or CPE's but I'm glad I didn't, who knows how long it would be.

Thanks steve.

The recirc hose is made by samsco sport...their "superflex" line. I got mine at summit racing.... it was like 20 or 30 dollars for 3 feet! cheap stuff. They appear to be out of 1 1/8 or 1 1/4" ID which is what we need.

The cool thing about it is it has a metal coil helix inside of it, so it wont kink up when bent (which is why i got it)

Awesome, thanks for the info

How did you cut the superflex line to fit with the metal coil inside?

Not to be a bearer of bad news, but saw a 3inch inlet dyno'd and it showed almost ZERO horsepower gains. The inlet makes the turbo sound awesome and it looks really good with a CAI setup, but it didn't show any gains. I'll still probably get one because I like'd the sound it made

what other mods did the said car have?

You saw this in person or have a link you can post?

Was it supposed to have hp gains? I just thought the inlet was supposed to have less turbulent air and even out air delivery and maybe help the shape of the curves on a dyno.

You are probably right, I thought it would have HP gains but the stock peice doesn't look like the volume would be that much less than a 2.5-3 inch inlet pipe, so probably the airflow is less turbulent but doesn't seem like it offers any power gains. It would be cool to see some more people dyno the inlet so we can all know if there are any potential hp gains.

The inlets only yield like 5 HP... Its not a power mod by any means; its one of those things you do when you have nothing else to upgrade...

Hey Aaron, are you sure you're not rubbing? My RPMC rubs after driving the car post install. I have great clearance when installed, but a few days of driving and its right put against the ECU cover wearing out a hole. :(

Let me know... I might get this one instead...

but as stated before does it fill out the dyno line a little better. just because you dont get but 5 hp out of it do you gain some midrange power or a faster spooling turbo etc....

AutoXRacer

Definitely faster spool...other than that, I didn't really notice anything else.

Our tests more recently show gains with it on a stock car. That crush section in the stock pipe adds an unnecessary transition for airflow IMO.
