Lol Nixon. Is that an AEM dry flow filter on your Cobb SRI? What kinds of LTFT readings are you getting with that sucker?

Nah it's just the stocker.. With my AP my trims are usually around 7, never above 8.

This is excellent. I picked up some MS6 wheels last week and can't decide what color to paint, it was going to be either black or gunmetal on MGM. Depending how your side pics look will help me decide. How much did it cost to powdercoat? I called a couple places and got quoted $60-$100 ea. Looks great btw.

Thanks.. It cost me 60$ a wheel. It took a tad longer too because they couldn't strip them in house, said it would have taken forever. I spray painted the center caps to match

No side shots FTL! Side profile pics please!!
Also, what's the offset on MS6 wheels?

pretty kickass indeed...
But what's up with this growing trend of putting MS6 wheels on the MS3? No offense or anything but... the MS6 wheels are quite literally the fugliest stock wheels I've ever seen. They look like F'in snowflakes! Even though the MS3 wheels are similar... they are 10 billion x better looking.
In fact, that was one of the reasons I was drawn to the car. The way the silver exterior matches the silver wheels... it looks awesome. almost 'prehistoric' in a way. Like I'm drivin a freakin stegosaurus or some shit! haha
But for you metrogrey guys... powdercoating/painting the wheels a darker shade creates a similar effect. Conversely, black MS3s with the stock silver wheels look painfully bad. There's just too much contrast imo.
but yeah... awesome ride. thing must haul ass

I didn't like to stock ms3 rims because they were to bland. They looked stock lol, if you get what Im staying. I don't know what it is but I love the ms6 wheels, they aren't TOO busy, just enough going on. As you can see, they go along with my setup in black very nicely. I have never seen a ms3 with ms6 wheels in person prior to mine, and only a couple on the forums.. Hell the only Metro Grey Ive seen with aftermarket wheels was that guy who just got Ultraleggaras (which look smashing btw) I wanted to be unique, and make my car look clean as hell in the process. And yes, this thing scoots. (wiggle)

That's actually the first time i've heard that.
MS6 and MS3 owners have swapped wheels before, or photoshopped and it has always been concluded that Mazda almost should have just swapped designs to begin with.
I am a fan of both wheels. The only wheel I feel is getting a little played out are the RX-8 five spokers. Those look real clean, I just seem them a lot now on MS3's and MZ3's.

looking @ your hks ssqv, you got it pretty angled, is it causing plastic to rub away from the ducting on the hood?
can you take some more pics of the recirc fitting connection? and ssqv mounting close ups ? mine still is crimping a little. i have the cobb intake as well.

I have to agree with Matt. Rip those door moldings off and lower it just a smidge and you have one sexy looking ride!
My only request would have been to gloss the wheels more. Or maybe I just can't see it in the picture.

Why is everyone obsessed with ripping the door moldings off? I think the car looks better with them on, and if some dimwit (probably someone who ripped the molding of their own car *whistle*) bumps their door into my car, they help protect it from dings.

Honestly, I left mine on. But darker cars with no moldings look better imo. Shows off the shoulder lines over the wheel wheels more.
But I like MY particular car with them on. But they don't protect from dings. They hardly stick out further than the rocker ground effect. You'll basically have to hope that the door who hits you hits that molding spot on from the corner of their door. Otherwise, it will be dinged.

The black wheels and emblems look nice on the MG. Hey what Recirc hose are u using? I want to replace mine because the stock one is all squished with my synapse bov.

Open a door next to your car, those moldings arent close to anywhere that would protect your car. I like the clean look with them off and mine being white the moldings color didnt match so it looked weird.

I was going to say you advocating someone taking the moldings off and you wont take yours off ironic...

Mine is Black Mica (Well, sort of salt-gray right now :\) and I like the look better with them on. Gives the eye a line to follow along the body, or something. Dunno, just like it :P

Yeah, I know. But there's always the chance they DO hit the molding :P

The Recirc Hose Im using I ordered from Street****. I had to angle my BPV that way because the vaccuum hose was rubbing on the hood, and thats the only way that recirc hose would fit. It's currently coming into contact with the actual intake silicone, and is barely hanging on there, I got that clamp real tight. It's all put just right.
-Lowering Springs are gonna be in the mix in the future
-Door moldings will be removed, after this wax I just put on fades lol
-I got my FMIC on the way too, The piping and core is going to be black, and it will have blue couplers to match the intake/recirc hose. Once I get those on there it's going to look so tits with the ninja core barely visible, yet the blue couplers giving it away.

It's still a soft spot for me personally, but the more I look at your car, I like it. But then again, your car is lowered and to me, that makes a difference.

I don't get why everyone thinks removing the side moldings makes the car look better. Shit.. .I think the car looks like ass without em. Like a freakin minivan or something generic like a corolla. idk... it's hard to describe really. I just think people sometimes make changes to a car just for the sake of making a change. I realize you don't want to look like every other MS3 out there but... there aren't that many of them (relatively speaking) to begin with! So, by default, you've got a unique car.
but whatever... the more you MS3 guys take your side moldings off and fuglifiy your wheels... the more unique my stocker will look! haha j/k about the wheels... well, not really

haha so soon the stock look will be the "original" look. I like my stock wheels, they will have my all seasons on

I used to think the same thing. It makes the car look really tall and bubbly.
But that's where I like the moldings stripped when it's lowered (ie. CWPspeed3's car).
