Hey all,
i am thinking about getting mud flaps for my car so i was just wondering what the exact difference is between the Rally Armour "basic" mudflaps and "UR" mudflaps bsides the UR being 80 bucks more.

http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/mazdaspeed-basic-c-60_102_110.html basic flaps
is there a huge difference between the two?

Basics are plastic and the UR are urethane. I saw someone cut some out using an office garbage can using the basics as a template. They looked identical. There's a guy in hopewell junction with the URs maybe you can borrow one of his as a template

Well let me tell you about the basics. They suck the big one imo. The fronts are ok but the backs are bending up and out on the back do to the wind hitting them. It makes them look like I put them on wrong and im pissed because for 41 bucks for 4 pcs of plastic I expected better. When Im parked they look stupid and to me for that money they suck the big one. I have a call in and will ask it they will sell me just the backs maybe but who knows.

Give it some time they will start to look like you going 80 mph on the highway when your sitting in the parking lot. I dont care for that at all. I just got off the phone with the company and they are sending out the top of the line ones for 90 bucks, that includes tax and shipping.
Anyone who buys them save being dissipointed with the crapy flaps and man up and buy the good ones. As far as Im concerned the basics are no better then the garbage can ones or wall-mart's one size fits all.(burn)

I had no choice but to get the basics. They don't offer the UR ones for my car.

Dont skimp out on your car get the UR ones, they will last longer from what I here.

Does anybody have any pics of the UR ones with the logo from the back of the car? Just curious what it looks like.

My basics have been great, but will probably upgrade to the premium at some point. When I go over speed-bumps they drag and make an awful noise. This is starting to give them the bent up look as said above. I don't think the wind alone would do it, but dragging them across the pavement does.

Trust me its from going at a steady speed is why they look like that over time. Not when you hit a curb. I also call ra and complained to them and the just shiped my out the good one for 89 dollars. They also included the hardware that I would need to use over. If your going to do it just do it now before before they go out of warranty. JMO. Good Luck

Oh and the good flaps are like big thick hunks of rubber that you can bend back and forth and will not get bent out over time. Good Luck
