Lets see how our 4cyl MPG is:
22, 22, 22, 23 MPG so far
All a mix of highway and city. One of the 22s was a bit more highway but at very high speeds.
Lets see if it goes up after the break in period.

170s. I am hoping this is jus a break period and the mileage will get better. I was expecting more like 25 mpg for my daily and higher for when I make a run to orlando

You realise you are in Canada and talking about Imperial gallons. He is in the US talking about US gallons. There is a big difference in gas mileage ratings.

I've had mine since January. I'm getting just over 24 mpg in the city. Haven't taken it on a road trip yet. Just work and back home.

And my '07 Mazda 3 grand touring I traded in got 20mpg. I'm getting just over 4 mpg more in a bigger car.

Hello,
I just picked up 09 GT3 and a GT6 (his and hers) and I'll post back with what we get mostly HWY. Both have the 4 so hopefully it will be around 30.
First time owners of mazda's so...yeah I gotta say it....zoom zoom
3/22/09: update - 26 on the 6 and 25 with the 3. Long distance of maybe 20 miles per section of hwy. Then about 2 times a week in town back roads so I'm thinking better for longer road trip. Of course I would probably get better if I wouldn't let the youngin's running up on me and eggin' for a speed test...hehehe, okay maybe it is the youngin in me who takes them on without even thinkin' about it! It may be a 4 nager but why does it have 160 as the top speed?
3 mazda's I have had, all 3 got worse mpg as they got older. My ms6 ain't no different. Don't expect miracles, that's all I'm saying

TrueDelta conducts a real-world gas mileage survey that includes questions on driving style and driving conditions, so people can find the responses that fit the driving they do.
Results for the Mazda6 here:

Just a few for 2009s so far--hopefully more soon.
