Just wanted to let you guys know I had a name change. I used to have a Protege5 and my name was houpro5. The Pro5 is long gone, but I have a MS3 and a 6. I aksed Antoine if I could have a name change and he hooked me up. I'm posting this to help keep confusion between me and rotus8 down to a minimum.

rotus is the name I use everywhere else on the intertubes. The name comes from my 1991 Lotus M100 Elan:

My name comes from my V8 powered Lotus super7 clone.

You fail at the reading comprehension. ;)

I was houpro5 and now I am just Rotus (it actually should be all lower case, but I'm not bothering Antoine on his honeymoon).

I knew where your name comes from but I'm confused as to why you choose to use the Japanglish pronunciation of Lotus for a Buick powered car. Is it because it was a Rover produced version of the Buick motor?

IIRC, Rotus was the real name of a company that produced 7 clones that used Toyota motors.

Indeed the Rotus company in Maryland made the chassis for my car. They made it customized to my specification to fit the Buick motor. They got their name becuase the first version used a Mazda rotary.

Cool, I didn't know Rotus was still around.

Isuzu Impulse? I changed the shift cable on my car with the ones from an Isuzu. The Lotus cables were crap and broke all the time.

yeah I had a wagonback (thus MY sn) and had an RS block ready to build into it... but after college found my MSP and the impulse went to the scrap yard.
