I bought a Cobra radar detector that looks like this:

On a 2007 Mazda3. Maybe you guys could help me. The instructions tell me to wire it to an accessory port in the fuse box. I’ve looked everywhere in the fuse box and I can’t find any "accessory" part in the fuse box, I've tried wiring to the cigarette lighter fuse but it's not working...

please help!

any item that gets power on 'accessory' will work. use a voltmeter if you are still unsure. are you hardwiring it? is it grounded?

Yes it is grounded. I just can't find where to connect the (+) wire to in the fuse box

map lights, dome light, cigarette lighter...
these are three things on when accessory is turned on. if you pull the glovebox, and the piece of plastic underneath the glovebox, you will be able to see which fuse is for which part on the car
top left 15a fuse (blue iirc) is for the cigarette lighter. by top left, i mean...take off the glovebox, and look straight at the front of the car, from the passenger seat. left is left, by top, i mean toward the front of the vehicle

Map and dome lights aren't switched, they're always hot. You want to use a switched circuit. There are some switched circuits up behind the map lights. There's a "how-to" on the site.
