Are you just trying to figure out how to clear the CEL or do you actually have issues with the engine?
Does it hesitate at all when you accelerate? Or seem like the engine cuts on and off when you reach boost?
Our cars run RICH, so it could be a leak in the seal/gasket of the intake mani. But, if you don't have the hesitation or on/off jerk @ boost, then it's something else.

well all in all the car actually feels fine, i know how to clear codes i have the obd2 scan tool at home. my question is if anyone knows what that code means exactly I.E where to pinpoint where the problem lies or if anyone has had this trouble code before and fixed it i would greatly appreciate some insight. i feel a SLIGHT and i mean very slight hesitation when i hit boost.......
please bear with me im new to tuning mazdas, ive been a honda/DSM head up until now

P0660....Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit (Bank 1)
check the connections of the solenoids on the bracket bolted to the 1st & 3rd runners of the intake manifold. make sure they are snug and or disconnect and clean them.

P0660 Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit/Open (Bank 1) - Has the VTCS or VICS been messed with?
Check your plugs on the top of the IM and make sure they are plugged in.
Make sure you don't have any cracks in your vacuum hoses or piping.

Also found out that the P0660 code refers directly to the VICS solenoid.

And while you're at it, maybe clean the EGR valve.

All OBD2 codes are the same on every make and model of car. Bad vacuum lines will not cause a CEL with the VICS or VTCS. Only a plug not connected will.
My little OBD2 pocket book states p0314 as random cylinder misfire which isn't really much to worry about. Just clear that one, these cars run rich and sometimes the air/fuels are so rich it will misfire. Pretty normal thing to happen in a stock ECU MSP.

Eh i always get P0660 and P2006... They contradict each other to... one says its stuck open while the other says closed. I never get just one its always both or nothing. I haven't noticed anything different with the car on how it runs with those CELS either. It always apears to come on while in boost as well.
I haven't done anythign really to trouble shoot the issue either. Just reset and go about my day. Its a hit or miss thing for my car. I can't reproduce it on demand either.

see my post above! I stole those out of the alldata database when I was at my friends shop. I just haven't had time to do any of those steps to test personally.
Edit: I think it might be the circut thats going out but then again I haven't done any testing yet. How can something be stuck open and closed at the same time.

Then I'm guessing that the circut is just bad. Again I haven't tested anything but if your getting it with tyour VICs removed then I'm goign with tht its just bad.

With the 626 mani you still have that thing connected just not connected to the mani. its just off to the side so you don't throw a cel.

Yep thats how mine is. When i do get those two CELs its generally low or light boosting in 4th or 5th. Also when they do come on they tend to come on a few times taht month and then I won't see them again tell a few months later.
