A friend of mine has a 03.5 MSP and he just told me his rear window got shot out. I guess someone's been going around shooting out windows in his street, and he happened to be one of the casualties.

Now I know the MSP front windshield is thinner and lighter than the regular Protege, but is still interchangeable between the 3rd gens. Does anyone know if the same applies to the rear window? He says he can get a regular Protege window for $100, but a MSP one would cost him like $500.. so I'm just checking it out for him.

Thanks everyone.

If someone shot out his window.... The insurance company should pay for it.......

If anything find a junkyard with a MSP in it and find the rear window :D

Yup...Hence the much higher price tag.
NOt only for the Antenna....But for its extremely limited application on only the MSP.

Yea I just found that out as well.. but if he doesn't really give a crap about the antenna, the window itself should be interchangeable right?

Other than that..and the Rear window defogger..yes...should be a direct swap.

But the only option if you dont put the right window in would be an External add on Antenna that would likely get horribble reception and not be worth the headache.

I highly reccomend putting the correct window in.
