View Full Version : Diagnose my oil/grease leak

I recently discovered that I have an oil or grease leak around my front left lower arm (see photos). I'm guessing that this happened within the past 3 weeks. I can't find the source of the leak, but I think it's from the drive shaft because of the spray pattern, although it could be coming from somewhere else and spraying after hitting the drive shaft. I'm guessing that when I installed my Cobb springs, the front arm was unsupported for a while when I was changing my springs and this caused a leak path.
Any ideas of how to figure out where the leak is, and how to fix it? Thanks

Looks like the CV boot has developed a tear and that's where it should be coming from. There is nothing else there that would have a "spray" pattern like that, especially that heavy of grease.

yea i had the same thing, i made a post about it with pics a while back.
I went to the dealer, they gave me a new axle..
I guess you could replace the boot yourself, but if you go to the dealer they will just replace the axle.

I'm now convinced after reading the above comments that it's the boot. Thanks for the help.
