mine would crimp like crazy because it was to long, i trimmed about an inch off and it fits perfect now, wonder if i can put the stock back on or if i need a new hose now (hah)
also the vacuum line, does it just sorta hang there? or did you guys zip tie it to something, cuz it's just free floating right now.
i also didn't disconnect the battery before the install, is that needed?

1) no i didnt need to trim or cut my hose, just rotate and play with it a little
2) the vaccum line on this car is a little to big to fit the hks, i personally went to home depot and bought a small c-clamp and called it day
3) i always disconnect the battery before/after every install

why disconnect the battery?
I'm normally a big advocate for disconnecting the neg terminal before touching anything eletronic, but it's unnecessary for a BOV/BPV install. The only thing I can think of it being useful for is when dismounting the intake (and thus, the MAF) when dicking around with the recirc hose.

It does reset the long term fuel trims if you want to start clean after changing something.

i had to cut my intercooler shroud to make it fit, i could not for the life of me get the bpv mounted horizontally like i've seen a few people here do.
the recirc line keeps pulling the bpv down so that it's like this \
it's rubbing the plastic ducting for the ic on my hood now...
maybe u need a cai to do it? i have the cobb intake and i can't get the recirc hose right, no matter how i turn it. hopefully the recirc hose from SU fixes it, i ordered one of those just to try...

simple resolution is to cut the stock tube in 2 then get a copper pipe in between otherwise it will crimp NO matter what and eventually you'll get a cel, happened to my friend.

ok so i just did the copper pipe thing with 2 clamps just like this (not my pic but pretty much the same)

i was able to keep the ssqv pretty much horizontal now, it is barely pushing my cobb intake up a bit, i hope it doesn't rub and cut into the intake. when i started the car and let it idle, i got a check engine light :(
i double checked the recirc hose and vacuum, maf sensor plugged back into the intake. anything else i should check for?

autozone is already closed so i can't go get scanned, i just disconnected the battery and double checked all hoses again, hopefully when i plug it back in and start up, it won't come back on...
when i had the ssqv on before i did the pipe thing, i got no check engine light, altho the recirc hose was crimped pretty bad in 1 spot, which is why i put the copper pipe in, now no crimps but check engine light lol

ok after reconnecting the battery, check engine light hasn't come back on yet. i've driven about 20-30 miles since i plugged it back in.

what size copper pipe did you get?

1 1/4" pipe
it's about 2" long also but that was the only size they had at lowes length wise anyways so u can't pick the wrong one.
