My main question is...If one coil pack somehow overloaded and blew without throwing a check engine light, could that cause a tick...a little fuel in the oil and somewhat low compression on the #2 cylinder?

no,no and, no.

the car wouldn't run with a blown coil.

what if the coil isnt producing 100% spark but enough not to throw a check engine light? Possibly?

You would have driveabilty issues if any part of your ignition system was shot. Have you checked your oil level lately and what has the temperature been like where you are at?

ditto.. possibly a valve tick due to the weight/condition of the oil.

i bet what you are hearing is the typical tick this engine makes while running. I heard the same thing when I had my MSP and it scared me until I heard others car with the same sound

Ok, I do have driveability issues...its running rich, oil level is full but has a little fuel in the oil, I can smell it when i pull the dipstick out. The head was rebuilt and all the valves were adjusted. The car never used to have a tick.
For about 1-2 months the wastegate was stuck closed so it would overboost and when I installed a new wastegate the same day there was a loud pop at 4k at full boost and its been ticking ever since. For about 7-8k miles. Its just buggin the crap outta me n im gonna figure it out. Thanks for some more ideas, ill be doing more tests on it
