Hey I just got a black forge BPV. I have a MS6 with a COBB sri and everything else is stock. What color spring should I use? I hear some people are using the yellow and others are using the blue. I want to go with the blue because I want to hold as much boost as possible, but at the same time I don't want to get any compressor surge. Let me know what you guys think I should do and the spring set ups you are running with the mods. Thanks

Yellow no shims IMO. I run same times with yellow as I do with blue and 1 shim. But yellow has less flutter.

Im running Blue with 2 shims with the Cobb SRI, and the Cobb AP. I get a little flutter when letting off the throttle slowly but thats it.

Huge thread about this. Most people use blue spring with 2 shim. Try it out and see what feels right.

... go yellow....
Not that I'm running speed3 or speed6 times, but my fastest time I ran was with the yellow spring (14.59 @ 96.31 in a CX-7; 3920 pounds AWD).

does the yellow spring hold boost as well as the blue? And what do you mean flutter? would it flutter with a weaker spring?

Looking at my standback data, the yellow spring is giving me the same amount of boost that the blue spring, and the HKS gave me.

here's some CX-7 data of my boost with the yellow spring.....

i installed the forge bpv with the blue spring and it works perfect! It sounds awesome with the COBB SRI.
