i know ppl's gona hate me for this... can someone tell me what does that .5 mean when ppl say mazdaspeed 3 08.5? thx

the year of production. -- 08.5 is When they came out with Metro Grey as a color, and there are a few minor differences with the later models such as the piano black interior, lighting in the sun visors, white needles in the gauges, and a couple other things.

as scatt said, it was a mid year production change with the introduction of crystal white pearl and metro gray and got rid of sunlight silver and cosmic blue. then the slight interior changes, the piano black interior, mp3 playing cd players in both sport and gt, the white needles, alcantara seats for the gt and it was supposed to be the last of the production run until they decided they could still sell more cars. If you search there should be a thread that lists all the changes but its really nothing major.

yup, mine has a build date of 2/08 and they started appearing in March, its just a marketing thing to call them 08.5 to distinguish from the 08's so they could charge more money.
