View Full Version : hks bov recirc fitting?

hey guys i just bought an hks =) im so exicted for it anyways... i know im going to be tempted to run it in vta. do i have to take off the recirc fitting in order to do that or can i just unplug the hose? if i have to take it out how do i take it out/put it in? thanks guys

Don't forget to plug up the hose if you disconnect it.

Yes. But why would you want to do that? I will not make your car run better, in fact it will run a bit worse. And it will make strange noises.

Ive ran my car vta and recirc and really didnt see any issues. If you want it to be loud put the purple fins back in and try it out.

Without proper tuning you'll get backfires, and run REALLY rich during shifts....

You are correct and you will run the risk of messing up your cat over time but im running catless and dont really care about a stumble here and there.

you can run the standback and have it tuned to run vta with no issues.

when i ran my hks vta it still made the fluttering noise, just louder. does adding the purple fin give it that hks whistle?

Yes this will give you the whistle. But you'll still get the fluttering no matter what (in low throttle scenarios).
