i just noticed CPE has a new designed downpipe with cast bellmouth and exhaust hangers. i want catless so bad but dont wanna loose performance due to CEL's. im torn between catless and catted. do u gain much hp from a catback? Does the car loose power from the catless CEL

you will not lose hp with the CEL and catless....if anything, you will gain a few hp over the catted setup

i would say go with the catted setup...you only lose 2-3whp according to cp-e...and you won't have to worry about any CELs....

From what I've read...there is little performance difference between cat and catless.

i have the catted cp-e dp and i still get CEL's, they wont affect the performance.

the rear o2 sensor is slightly responsible for relaying fuel trim information to the ecu. you will run slightly richer with a CEL on and catless exhaust...Some call it "limp mode"...I've done the datalogging and so have others, a CEL from a catless exhaust does indeed affect your fuel trim....(smoke)

you shouldn't be getting a CEL...something is wrong if you do with the cp-e catted
