Does anyone else have a Speed3 that makes a lot of squeaky / creaking / suspension type noises when it is extremely cold?

As the temps dip to around 20 degrees F, here in SE Mich, I've noticed that when I leave work and go over the 3" speed bumps (2 mph or less) and rougher / "wavier" spots in the road (prior to the car warming up) I get the types of noises listed above from the front suspension.

Anyone else? Any known TSB's or SSM's for this?

Someone please shoot me.
Yes, everybody's makes noise in the cold. Yes, it has been covered about 1,000,000 times before. Yes, there is such thing as a search button.
Sorry if you think I am being an ass, but you did not even try to find a solution for yourself.

Damn Mazda and their bushing squeeks when it's cold. I had an MSP and I thought I upgraded to a better car. HA.

I believe the gentlemen above mistakenly think you're talking about cowl rattle, but I have your back here. Check out the the first video I posted (it's the one I made, with my car and camera, in -30). It sounds like the car is slamming into asphalt on every bump.

I'm gonna try and convince the dealer to grease up the bushings.

Funny thing ... mine did it last year but isn't doing it now. I've driven in single digits FWIW.

How exactly will any of that help him with his suspension problem?

Try looking here (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123727147) OP, a lot of people have the same issue.

He said from the front of the car, if he has one set of noises he may have the other. I know mine does occasionally.

Thanks guys! The '-30 degree' video that LukeP posted is exactly what I have going on, after parking outside when it's below 25F (typically after I leave work, because it's garaged overnight).

In reading some of the other threads / comments, it doesn't sound like there is a permanent fix for this noise though. Most folks talked about greasing and or bushing replacements, but as I read on, it sounded like those actions only lowered the noise, or eliminated it until the next cold season.

Not sure what I'll do at this point....probably live with it.

The cowl noise that I also have, is very minimal, so I am pretty sure I'll live with that one too.

5 years ago, I would have been at the dealer getting these types of things inspected, checked, fixed, etc, etc....but now it just seems more like a "hassle" than "help".
