I not sure if thats condensation? But the device in your intake is your temp sensor.

it kind of has a rough texture to it and i can scrape it off. i just want to know what is causing it, in case that it may be a concern. and as for the temp sensor will it mess anything up if i don't plug it in as part of a SRI convertion?

No it won't hurt anything but it might run a little different. Thats the air temp sensor. Mine is currently disconnected(CAI converted to SRI) and when i first start the car the rpms dip down and come back up on first start up.

As long as the temp sensor is still attached to the plug, it will be okay, even if it's just hanging out in your engine bay. Otherwise you will get a CEL if the sensor isn't there and plugged in.

in the bay there is a lil hole below where the intake sits, put your bushing there and then put the sensor in,looks better then letting it hang there

Correction unplugged as in not in the intake.

The thing I notice is my car rpms drop for a split secound after starting the car right up.
