So I picked up my car from the shop yesterday (new clutch, flywheel, thunder manifold) I had to drive to my parents for a funeral. I drive about 250 miles, get to my exit about 2 hours from my folks house. I start to hear a horrible noise, and lose all kind of power. I think to myself, self its intercooler pipe blown off. I pull over and check everything out. While Im checking the pipes I see that the exhaust manifold is missing 3 bolts around the turbo! Im pissed at this point.Took me about 3 hours in the ef'in rain and cold. So I call the shop to bitch and I get the "oh we cant do nothing about it now" But best believe Im going down there monday! BS Just had to vent.
Thanks (flame)

That sucks, and yeah I would go there when you get a chance and see why they didn't complete the job right. That's mainly why I do everything myself, I've had two places mess mine up.. first one forgot to put tranny fluid back in after they put my engine back in my car, had to get a whole new rebuilt tranny. Second one used the stock WGA on my GT28RS instead of the one I told them to use, NEVER told them to use the stock one, then they set my idle up really high (idling at 2500 rpms), couldn't drive over 40 mph, so instead of paying them more labor to tell me they can't fix it I just got it back. Thankfully everything is fine now, but geez.. sometimes when I have to take my car somewhere all I can think is "what will they mess up that I'll get to fix myself." So I definitely know what you are going through with that.

Yeah I agree, I normally try and knock it out myself, but for my clutch and manifold I just didnt have time to get the job completed before the funeral. Im done venting now....until monday

Dealership put standard oil in my car when they had to put synthetic (was still sitting on the passanger seat, the replace my whipers for some shit ones without asking, the plugged the y junction of the windshield washer system backwards when they replaced my hood...bottom line, no even the dealership can be trusted with car maintenance. Good luck with you claim, hopefully it didn't cause any other damage to your ride

Dude, that sucks!
I had my fair share too though.
I got my intake manifold replaced under the recal, i go get my car, drive home, suddenly there is a MASSIVE cloud of white smoke behind me and the car is just pluming smoke from the motor.
I had it towed RIGHT back to the dealer. Turns out they ddin't reattach all the coolant lines.
What happened though? It's been a week
