Ive read a few threads about intercoolers being hot at times but ive also noticed a few people saying their CAI's were also cool to touch. My CAI is always hot (granted I do live in FL so its about 75 degrees right now). After a normal 10 mile drive or so I can touch my CAI but its too hot to leave my hand on there. Is this normal ?

Its a metal pipe that sits next your block which emits 250+ temperature.

its going to get hot.

+2 haha yeah its going to get hot its right next to your engine on top of that CAI only means that i will bring cooler air in then normal , that does not mean that you are going to have a cold pipe

you could but wraping it makes it look like garbage IMO and probably wont do all that much, dont worry about it like lv said it brings in cool air but wont make the pipe cold

its fine if its hot. thats what the intercooler is for, to cool it down. turbocharged air is going to be hotter than that.
