I couldn't really decided which section to put this in, but I like this area...

Anywho. About two weeks ago the MS3, bone stock, started showing what I looked up to be the brake failure light on the dash. Well, the family and I kept driving the car, but eventually made an appointment with Mazda. The brake fluid was fine and at a very reasonable level when my brother and I checked it.
And then, magically, the car stopped showing the brake failure light the day before our appointment. Mazda looked it over and said nothing was wrong with the car.
Anyone else ever get this light and then have it randomly disappear a couple weeks later?

What did the light look like? What color was it? Did you check the manual to confirm that it was the brake light?

Yes, I checked the manual, and that's what it came up with. I'm pretty sure it was red. I'll have to check again with the rest of the family, on of them may remember the light better.

Yeah, that could be. That's actually what I was thinking, too (originally thought it might have been the tire pressure light)

My ABS didnt work for the first 5 mins. of driving today. slid down my whole driveway backwards with all 4 locked up. Maybe it was cuz I was in neutral?

No, it wasn't the E-Brake light. A different light. I'm not retarded enough to leave the E-Brake on.

On the rare occasion that all of your wheels are sliding together the ABS may not trip. You need at least one wheel spinning at a different rate for it to kick in.

Since then I have had my ABS scanned - (failed left rear speed sensor)
so... now I know what it is... I havn't decided to replace it yet, as it keeps going in and out. I will probably try to remove /clean it this weekend and see if that works - at least temporarily.
