Mazda 6 Headlight Bulb Problem

I am trying to put arctic white 80 watt bulbs in my high beam one didn't work so i tried to put the originals back in that side and blew both bulbs.I put test meter in and i was getting 11.5 volts to the bulb.Has anyone put higher wattage bulbs in a mazda 6 and if they ran into any problems?

I put new 55 watt bulbs back in both lights and now they are working again.

Hi there im britanny,Can someone walk me through removing replacing the headlight bulbs. I don't wanna do it by trial and error and break something. can someone show me the way to do this.
