after 626 intake manifold install.

the valvetrain noise is a lot louder, kinda like a diesel. and idle is up from about 700 to about 800-900. any ideas or is this normal? also it seems gas mileage has suffered. and thoughts as to why that may be?

any cel? maybe you messed up the gasket on install, and the engine is sucking unmetered air in.

did you try applying accelerator and having a buddy listen under the engine. i'm heard the valvetrain does get louder...may be someone who has more experience with this can chime in. i will be doin this in a couple weeks, well stock mani w/ vtcs removed and ported
