Why is my ABS light on??? We dont have ABS I thought, correct me if i'm wrong. Any ideas?

if the light comes on chances are either fluid is low or pads are low

+1 and ya the mp3 didnt have abs neither did the msp. mazda cheated us out >:(

mine is on to, i changed the pads and fluid is full so if you figure it out let me know haha

bad sensor....won't that show up on a code reader?? for the exact cause

It came on after I disconnected my power steering pump tho... Yeah I thought we didnt have ABS cause my car didnt stop as fast as the ladies in front of me once :(
my 01 ES's abs light comes on when i hit 58mph then turns off next time i turn the car on

if the abs light comes on and stays on....can't a reader pull of why though??

No, it won't always show the reason. Mine is on, and nobody knows why. I figure it may be because I need brakes, a speed sensor/abs sensor, or something.

03.5 MSP's DO have ABS, not sure about 03's.
The fluid could be full but dirty. If your fluid is dark, it can trigger the sensor. This happened on my friends truck. His ABS light kept coming on around hard corners. I told him he didn't have ABS, but sure enough the light would come on. We exchanged the fluid in the reservoir and voila, no more light. You really should have the brake fluid flushed every few years anyway.
