Cobb intake mount durability ?

Just got my Cobb SRI in the mail and noticed that the mount is made of some pretty thick metal.. Read about people snapping this mount. Has it always been metal or did they change it from plastic ?

It's not the mount that snaps but the battery bracket the mount attaches to.

Just took mine off with somewhere between 5k and 10k miles with no problems

None here either, I just pulled the intake off for winter and checked on the battery bracket. I don't have any rear mount installed either so theoretically my engine is moving and stessing that bracket the maximum amount...

I didn't crank down on those nuts when I installed it, don't know if that might have helped.

I'm sure for those of us that's not launching the car like its the space shuttle probably helps keep it from having any issues. :-)
