well today i removed the flaps and sealed everything up really good......but when i started it up the idle was jumping from dead to about 1k. i checked all my vac lines and made sure they were all in order, found nothing, checked all electrical connections, good......i dont know what it could be.

the turbo is spooling really good but the car is really slow. wga is fine btw.

i have an error code but i cant get my car up to the parts store without it wanting to die.

EGR possibly???

Yeah, clean your EGR, it would at least rule that out if it still happens after you clean it..

Did you remember to attach back the selinods controls to the vics/vcts ?

The only issues I have after the manifold install, is my car will not respond to gas until its warmed up. If I rev it alittle seems to choke bad. After that...hold on! Its not a vac leak though (-21) and I have the solenoids pluged in. So got me

this is what makes me not want an aftermarket manifold or manifold work. Some say it works others say they have big problems.

I'm supposed to pick up a used already ported 626 from someone on here when they get 505 zooms manifold. So I don't know if I'm even gonna buy it ,if it causes annoying big problems.

Mines not a big issue, just warm up first. Its still worth the power IMO

maybe you didnt seal the holes good enough where you removed the flaps. check if it is leaking there.

you can always pour some sea form in a vacuum line to see if any comes out of the intake manifold to see where its leaking

What are your A/f readings ? You might want to disconnect the battery and reset the stock ECU.

Since the butterflies were removed the only side effect is on a cold engine injectors are now spraying directly into the cylinders making it very rough until its warmed up for a few minutes... and maybe lose a hair of low end power.

Thats what I was thinking on the cold starts. I really think its because the injectors like Shane was saying. And as for the OP I would deff check for a vac leak. You do have a boost/vac guage right? If so whats the vac reading?

oh and I see you said you checked all the lines, remember that just becasue they look good doesnt mean there isnt a tiny crack. Are those the OEM vac lines or did you replace them?

my vac reads at -25......i have a exhaust leak. hairline crack in the manifold.

vac lines are all new silicone

i found that my egr was loose in the intake side so that helped a bit and the car doesnt jump as much...still a bit.

im just wondering what the loss of power is from.

i know my boost wont hit right without a good manifold but its worse than before, im only at about 20 percent power i would say.

ill make sure the MAF is plugged in correctly

and my solenoids are plugged in.

and the intake mani is def worth it...i did mine(removed the vtcs and ported it) a couple weeks ago, i got a vac line mixed up and was pissing in the wind with it but it makes a big difference really +1 for a must do mod....sounds like a vac leak somewhere....have you sprayed carb cleaner on it

do you have vac lines ran from the solenoids to the manifold?

i have no clue probably taking off the i/c piping and hit the intake.....oh well its fixed, now time to buy an E.M.
