that BOV is a piece of shit. Buy something good and then ask questions when it isnt working...
well actually, at the MSP stock lol 6psi it should be better than nothing but almost anything is better than forge shit

You are still running it like a BPV. It's gonna have the "turkey" sound running like that. The BOV vents to atmosphere and yours is recirculating still.

So you're telling me that the hose going back to the intake pipe does nothing? I'm not familiar with that type of BOV I was just judging by the pics that it was recirculating. My mistake if I am wrong.

I think its hooked to the wrong side of the IC but cant tell from the pics. Basically hook it up to the end closest to the throttle body

I have that same BOV and have never had any problems, its hooked up the same way. the forge bov is impossible to recirculate. when i installed mine it got rid of the turkey but i also have the stock airbox! it could be possible that your turkey is just because you have a CAI.

The forge bov vents 100% and hooks up to the stock location where the recirculating valve was. Its not very loud at stock boost. Sounds healthy at 9-10psi without being obnoxious. Doesn't have that transformer blaster gun sound.
There is a good chance the spring in yours is too stiff and its not fully opening, therefore your getting more turkey than with the stock valve.
Some days its hit or miss with me, so I need to look into it also. Otherwise I haven't had any problems.

Does the main aluminum piston lift while the engine is at idle?

You probably have the yellow spring in the valve. We make two that are lighter, the green and the black, those would probably be better for you.
Did you piece this together or did you buy it used? We haven't used Samco hoses for more than 3 years.

bought it used. i do recall him saying that there is a heavier spring in it. i have the green one here. he said he lost one of them. but would the green one do the trick?

The green will almost certainly be better than what you have in there now. Unless it is the black spring, which will be much shorter and have thinner coils than the Green.
