on my MP3 the knob that changes where the air comes from, it is off one. for example when i have it set on feet only it is realy on feet plus vent. i took the knob off and it only fits on that way. is the wrong knob on it or what?

i sorta have the same problem....check the cable it might be stretched or the the tensioner clip came loose....it's up under the driver side dash and to the right of the steeting colum

I kinda have the same problem but my car doesnt fluctuate between hot and cold. It sucks too cause its getting cold. Could this be the same problem with mine??? Do i just need to check cables and stuff???

i had the same problem last winter, had to take it to the shop to have it fixed. they said the tensioner was broke

yeah you can get at the cables under the dash...the temp controler goes under the radio and then has a tensioner right in the middle and then cuts to the pass side....the position is on the driver side

I had the exact same problem as you guys. I took the screws out of the center piece (hard to get to but a short philips stuby works) and then you can acess it all and it was the clp holding the outside casing or the cable snaped off. it tried gluing it but didn not work then i resulted to zip ties and held it into place. It looked like i broke it when i was changing out head units. i ju8st never screwed it back into the center peice and left it hand and once assembled it stays in place unless you forcfully push it in. Hope thie helps.

This is a common problem. Remove the glove box and make sure that the cable running there is attached to the blend door on the right. The cable runs from the center console and is secured (clipped) onto a single plastic piece about half way. It's very common for that clip to slip off the plastic it's holding onto. Just line it up where it fits and push it back on. Voila, HEAT.
