Mazda meets In the Mid-west.

Me and a few of my Mazda friends in town are trying to get an all Mazda meet together, but due to lack of intrust, are haveing some trouble getting it together, we dont mind paying any dues for opening the track by our selves, we are just wandering if anyone would be interested in a meet here in Wichita, Ks, we would also be willing to move to a more suitable city in the mid-west area.

International speedway a road course? I'd really like to get the car out on a road course and see what it does. And I'd be willing to drive to KS for a meet depending on what time of year. Right now I wouldn't risk it because the weather can get terrible on I-70, but might be down for spring/summer.

No international is just a quarter mile, I wish we had a road coarse here but no such luck, we got a dirt oval, but I sure as hell aint gonna drive the MSP in it, hell I wont even go in the parking lot, but the winters around here are horrible, things probably wont be happening until spring or early summer. and like I said wed be willing to travel somewhere to accomadate anyone.

i hear that is some fucked up shit. it can make you hallucinate if taken with a lot of caffine. also a women who was taking it at my moms work woke up in the middle of the night one time and said she was hallucinating like crazy (seeing fucked up shit). huh, probably my guess would be that it says not to drive or operate machinery while on it? lol

BTW: back on topic...if down here in springfield we get the new road course that is suppose to up and running next year, we could have it here. not only a road course portion, i am a student at OTC, and we have a brand new AWD dyno. im sure i could talk with my instructor/good friend to let us have a dyno day.

I was only paying 5 bucks a bottle with my dads insurance. It ran out in june cause they only gave it to us for a year after he passed. Oh well, I dont need it now. But anyways I should have everything all legal within the next few months so I would love to go to a meet. I need to ask my probation officer if i'm allowed to leave the state or not tho

deciding the place is the biggest problem, along with getting everything straighten out. right now down here in springfield the road course is still being built. if the project stays on time then it will be done around may...but thats a ways away. so hmm

BTW: im not too big on drag racing my mazda. dont get me wrong i love drag racing i just do it in my 67 mustang, not FWD DD that doesn't like being launched. but on the dyno the other day, i decided to do a 1/4 mile pass and got a best of 14.2 @ 96 mph. i had a 1.78 60 ft. it was so much fun taking off at 5,500 RPM's (i dont think the stock clutch liked it, lol). CAR IS STILL BONE STOCK, lol

ya exactly, but running on a dyno and on the track are two different things. the dyno re-enacts a perfect run. like the best traction possible with no wheel spin.

Hey I didnt read the whole thread but we are setting up a second Mazda meet in Desmoin Iowa this year.

last year was just breakfast, discounted dyno sessions and some cruising and hanging out.

This year we are considering a track day. Proabably just at the strip but there is a course there.


I'm also thinking of doing a meet localy (omaha/council bluffs area) around a track day or weekend later in the year.

This will mostly be done through mx6.com and is being hosted by a member named mazdaboyracer.

This year we expect:

96 MX-6 2.5L < my car :)

94 Probe 2.0L < my friend Tj's soon to be turbo FS.

MX-3 GS < swapped with a JDM BP-T

another MX-3 GS <swapped with a base model 1.6L SOHC motor. Dont ask me why.

1st gen probe with 3.0L V6.

94 MX-6 < mazdaboyracers car with a JDM KL-ZE swap and boltons.

2JZ powered single turbo supra.

84 Porche 944 non turbo.

Nissan 200SX. < friends car SE-R clone swapped with GTiR motor and 13" 4 piston front brakes and stock rear drums lol


90 Pontiac TransAm. < my other car should the MX-6 be un fit to attend. 350 TPI with ford racing injectors TPIS bored TB and AFPR.

wed have to drive threw the mountains too, and the roads really aint that bad, I used to drive up to the ranch in Gardner Co several times a year, but never in the MSP, the only thing hat worries me is how will the car react to the altitude...(nervous)

Yeah, if we're doing this in the summer time, the drive through the mountains is gonna be one of the best parts of the drive. Nothing like blind hairpin corners with a drop off on one side and jagged rocks on the other to test Mazdas suspensions. Plus the view at the top can't be beat.

yeah, I'm Just glad Coleman is a family owed ond operated business or we all probably would have been laid off by now, but we might not have to work for a couple weeks now, on first shift yesterday the Fill room (where they fill the bottles with propane) decided to blow up from what I know it wasnt cause by anything, it just all of a sudden exploded...there was only one person hurt, and he just has so minor burns, but the south half of the plant is going to need to be rebuild, I dont really care about that, I'm just glad Daves alright, it could have been alot worse than it was...

But yeah I got my old job back working at The Colman Company as their powder coat painter, it sux but it is a job, there was an eplosion at the plant, one of the Propane bottles that we make exploded and they didnt know if they were going to reopen the plant or not so they laid everyone off and said, plan on this beeing permanent, but yeah they called us all back last week, but... they started us out at the bottom pay we were making when we first started, they "lost all of our paperwork"... so yeah took a hole 9 dollar pay cut... bastards.

They put you in a stock class with your FMIC? Was there not a big enough modified or whatever it is for the Time Attack?

the time attack rules for stock class allow 1 power mod. FMIC is not a poewr mod. all the rules for each class are posted on the site.

lol You obviously have'nt been to an event in Kansas. our street mod class is silly. It's sad really. it's a class full of Hondas, silly slow Hondas, with kids that don't know how to drive.
