are u getting un-employment? how much is ur car payment? maybe you can refinance it for a lower payment until u get back on your feet? plus you got at least 3 months until the repo man comes knocking. I lost my job 6 months ago and I almost lost my ride too it totally sucks. just start pounding the pavement you got 3 months to get a job sir! you can also talk to whoever has the lean on your car and see if they will take a lesser payment until you find a job. there is always options dont loose hope! it will all work out in the end, I promise!

If your still in Warranty DEMAND a new transmission. If your on your own Just suck it up and buy a new Tranny. If you have a bad transmission its gonna effect the rest or your car in the long term for sure.
