compressor surge!?!?!?!

ok well i got a problem with compressor surge. this is my first turbo car and i dont know how to stop it. i know its bad for the turbo and what its doing but how do i fix it. i used the search button and nothing helped. here's what i did.

i took off my bov, mbc, and put the stock bpv back on. i replaced all the vaccume lines that were used for it. after installing everything to stock took it for a ride and still a surge. i have a custom hard pipe from the turbo to the intercooler, which has nothing wrong with it.

i have a turboxs bov that i tried also. its not welded on, i had it connected on a hose.

is there a possible leak through the pipes or is there something else. any help is appreciated.

do you have an aftermarket intake? best bet is to run a dual bpv/bov setup - do a search and you will easily find it.

If these cars have the "turkey" stock - it's just that the plastic intake piping severely muffles the sound. By switching to an aluminum intake the sound becomes much more noticeable. Try giving the BPV it's own, dedicated vacuum source like the brake booster. I have an HKS SSQV that is tee'd into the brake booster and I onl get the "turkey" at very low pressure and low RPM. Everywhere else, I'm fine.

well today i put another bov on, when i rev it in neutral, i get compressor surge. when i take it out ang give it boost it doesnt sound like it but i dont know how this bov sounds because its not mine. sooooooo. i dont know.

i just put it all back to stock. no bov, no mbc. no problems. a guy said it might be the hoses on the intake manifold. i didnt mess with them except for my boost guage.

any one have a pic of the stock manifold??
