What's a good BPV replacement? I'm sick of the HKS BOV sound, and I'm gonna upgrade to the Turbolife FMIC that uses a BPV instead of a BOV. So what should I get?

I've got the boost sciences RDV installed. Since that piece has 1" fittings, I modified my CAI (well, actually a SRI right now) and my hardpipes to also have 1" fittings. That alone *almost* killed my turkey. About 90% of my shifts are followed by a nice subtle "psshhh". At higher boost, it has a slight chirp at the beginning, and occasionally when I let off the gas quickly at lower boost, I get a little mini-turkey for 1/2 second or so. I think the "mini-turkey" is just the valve not quite opening up quickly enough--mine needs to be re-greased, as I think it sticks closed a bit at low vacuum.

If you want as non-ricer of a blow-off as possible, I'd give this one a thumbs up. Just make sure you get larger fittings welded onto your hotpipe and intake, or else you'll be stuck with the turkey still (personal experience)

Off-topic: does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of grease to use between the piston and the 0-rings? It appears to have some sort of synthetic grease (reminds me of the grease used on glass joints in vacuum systems from chem lab), but I've scoured auto and hardware stores to no avail...

Ok, so Boostsciences it is.

Now where in the world do I buy one from? P.Garage doesn't have it.. Google brings up nothing.. not even eBay has them.

Mobil 1 synthetic grease is used in the Reflex valves. A jar will last you the life of your car. :)

Actually, I don't. :( I was able to pass on a discount to you fellow forum folks and that was it really. I also ran a few GB's for them at one point and go way back with the owner. He moved to Texas earlier this year and I unfortunately don't talk to him as frequently as I used to.

Anyone needing these valves should order direct from BSC.

Why don't you just recirc your hks? It'll sound just like a bpv

I'm getting the turbolife FMIC, it's made of single piece pipes that I don't feel like cutting and they don't have a BOV flange.
