i was offered recently a haltech f10 complete with all sensors and what not and was wondering if it was compatible with the fs engine. it is for a swap i am doing in a 323 so basically all i want is to be able to run the car and do not really care about other functions and whatnot since a friend says it works fine while another says it is a real pain to set up and the e6 is better

there are a few people on here running the f10. however, these people are running the unit in parallel with the stock ecu.
if you want the haltech to act as a full standalone unit (control everything), the f10 is not for you. it does not have any ignition control and the unit does not offer the features higher models do.
the e6x gives you the full fuel and ignition control. you could run the car off of the e6x as a full standalone.
i recommend getting the E8. it will do everything you need and gives you tons of features. it is pricey, but worth the extra money over the e6x. not to mention the mapping resolution is better on the E8...
