Allright, summon the guru expert wizardry that resides within because I'm goin deep on this one......
I have an 03 P5 2.0 with sportauto. I supposedly have a FSBB-18881-C ecu according to mazda usa parts list for Proteges. I haven't actually looked yet. I wanted to have a spare for wiring in a piggyback so I can leave my original alone. I have an FSAR-18881 ecu that is for 01/02 sportauto according to the mazda usa site. My question is, Can I use the FSAR with the piggyback to run my 03? What would be different from 01/02 to 03 when the motor is the same for all 3 years & neither is CA emissions? Is the sportauto tranny different in 01/02 from the 03? My 03 tranny has FDA50 with a big VE on the sticker. I'll go back to the parts list & check that out. Thinking I may not have been specific enough when looking for the spare dammit. Grateful for any useful input............
edit - OK, I searched here & can find nothing about sportauto tranny differences.......http://mazdamotorsports.preview.mazdausa.com/pdfs/collgd/pro_9903_cg.pdf
