Yeah, this is bad cuz this car is my dd and i have no real job and I'm piss broke. I guess these tyranny's can't handle taking turns going full throttle.
I installed urethane mounts top right and lower front a couple months ago. Since then it whines coasting or decel neutral or in gear. I ignored it thinking it was just a resonance vibration of some sort from the super solid mounts.
On friday night I took a 90* turn at about 35mph in 3rd flooring it, came out shifted to 4th, then I went to stop and it would not come out of 4th. It was stuck in 4th for about 2 miles. I came to a stop and it came out of 4th but it was shifting like as if the linkage was broken or loose. It was not, however the problem seemed to disappear until last night. Over halfway home on a 20ish mi drive the whining noise described above suddenly became 5 times worse with a clicking sound now added to it. I can only really hear it inside the car, but its fucken loud. Today I put the front in the air, started it put it in hear and let the wheels run off the ground. It would be fine until i made one wheel spin slower than the other, and the trans and wheels would buck horribly.
Guess I blew my diff? *sigh*
I found a replacement in harrisburg for $450. This really sucks cuz I dont have $450 so just another lump on the credit card. Plus now its cold as shit out and I wont have my freinds garage + lift plus air tools cuz hes away for 2 weeks. Ill only have my fuckin driveway and hand tools.
