Rear Air blowing only cold?

Should the rear air on the 08 5 be blowing only cold air. We can run the heat and it be nice and hot. When we turn on the rear air it will only blow out cold air. The manual say it should work in conjunction with the front so it should be hot. Is this correct. Should I call the dealer.

i just went throught the same thing. Took it to the dealer, showed them what the manual said. the checked and finally admitted that YES the REAR does only blow cold. the warm is distributed from the floor vents beneath the front seats that face aft.

darn. In winter that space would have been useful as holder for hot cup of coffee.

if u actually take a look at the rear vent.. right underneath it, it say cool air only... they should have warn ppl over that.. kinda hard to see cuz the lettering is the same colour as the back
