I called Mazda today after calling some auto parts shops and finding out no one carries the ball joints. They aren't replaceable, you have to swap the entire control arm out at $260 per side.
Any aftermarket solutions to this? Seems a bit silly to spend $260 when a ball joint only costs about $20-$30.

Not sure if you have this resolved, but go to Rockauto.com and search. You can get direct fit control arms made by Mevotech for a little over $80 each.
