Hey fellas, I need some advice on a couple of things for my MP3. Firstly, I need to replace the tranny. Found one and also planning on replacing the clutch. I want a better clutch than stock but nothing too extreme. It's a daily driver so I don't want anything too stiff, but I do want something decent for those nights I wanna get loose. Any recommendations? I am also looking to replace the front sway bar bushing with Poly ones. I found a set but do they make self greasable ones as well? Please let me know. Thanks!

it sounds like you may want something like the ACT street performance clutch kit - it says "This clutch is great for everyday use and will hold up to the weekend racer." I haven't done it yet, but that is the upgrade i plan on going with. maybe someone on here who has it can give it a rating? i see you are in MD mel, i'm in VA, just across the harry nice bridge on 301. do you know of any mp3 or protege/mazda groups in the area?

Thanks for the links.
As far as meets....When I first got my car, the meets used to be really heavy. People as far a Jersey and Conn! I'm sure there are still meets, just havent been in yrs. I see a lot more MP3's and MSP's rolling around then I have in past yrs. I'm not opposed to meeting up in the near future.

How many miles are you guys getting on the stock clutch? I'm at 120k and I'm guessing it's nearing the end of it's lifespan. Are these

hey mel, not sure how far away from northern va you are (and you may already know about them) but there's a club that meets in vienna area of nova once a month. if that's not too far away and you want the info, let me know. meetings every first weds of the month, i'll be at the next!
