Weird noise when turning wheel 100%

Just noticed today that when i turn my steering wheell all the way to one side the car makes a woosh sound like a faint bpv noise. The engine also revs a little bit (100-150ish) rpms.

Im sure this is normal but can anyone fill me in as to why?

welcome to the world of power steering.

power steering is powered off the engine, and will bog a little at idle if your turning the steering wheel.
