I have the awr motor mount inserts, and I already plan on getting the trani awr mount when I'm done with my build. But i was wondering if I was to get all awr motor mounts, and the sls passenger mount. does it cause the engine to vibrate the whole car. i know that my buddy got a 240 and put motor mounts in there. it was just ridiculous. not a nice ride at all. so I was just wondering if anyone has done this, and how does it change?
I just don't want to sit at a red light and have the cabin vibrating and making the daily drive ability crap. Thanks for any input

It really depends on how rough the engine idles. You do know that your stiffening the entire engine here. I have all the mounts including the side, and so far its pretty bad. Its tolerable though, but you will definitely feel/hear it. Mind you combined with coilovers it just amplifies the vibration, so be warned if you build your car into a weekend racer.

I'm running awr front/rear motor and sls passenger and its tolerable...definitely vibrates the interior and you gotta feather the clutch a bit more or you get major vibrations; but its definitely worth it as far as wheel hop elimination and launching

If your looking for the strength of the AWR mounts but not the vibrations, you should look into the Medieval Motor Mounts. I have had both in my car( first I had the AWR front and Rear MMs and tranny and side inserts) now I have the Medieval Front, side, rear and soon to be tranny mount......Definitely a huge difference.....Its the closest performance motor mount you will get to stock. Check out the reviews I wrote up about the different motor mounts.
Front MM: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123715364
Side MM: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123720669
Tranny MM: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123721340
I will have a rear MM review up soon.

I would first make sure none of yours are torn. If so, replace them. I then would get the front and rear mounts. Or all 4 if you can.

i have all 4 medieval mounts and it does vibrate but it is tolerable and you do have to feather the clutch or you do get some serious shake in the whole car but at like a highway cruise at 80 its really not that bad with mine and i got all 4.

I loved my SU mounts in my old p5. I had the front and sides installed in my auto p5 and it wasnt bad at all!

ah word! so an indication of them being torn would be..? the inserts crackd? or the bracket itself bent or cracked?

The insert will be torn up.
I'm running an AWR rear mount and an SLS front mount. I have some vibration, but it doesn't bother me too much. I think it all depends on personal preference. I don't mind having some 'harshness' to my ride -- vibration from the mounts, butt-bruises from my not-stock suspension and low profile tires -- but some people despise it.
