Hey finally took some pics of my 2008.5. Hope you enjoy! tthippy

BTW I was told these rims would rub...they don't! Well, maybe if it is loaded down and you take a curve really fast, but regular driving and they do not rub.

I suppose it would look ok without it, but I tend to think the polished door compliments the polished wheels. Really I have the way it is going to be in my mind. It will come together in the end.
appreciate the compliment.

damn thats quite a lip, looks good. I was told anything under +42 would rub and manual says between 45-60, does it ride any different with that offset?

I have been trying to get my stereo together first. I ordered a stealthbox, but havent received it yet. Guy said he had to make it! Why advertise them and not have them ready? Anywayz, I have a P1548 Fosgate 8" , fosgate 3/4"tweets, and a new p200-2 Fosgate amp. I am waiting on a couple caps to take out the lows in the tweets and some inductors to take the low lows out of the doors. Still afraid to wire in the preamp PAC linelevels but...I will dare around x-mas when I have time. On the list: Black tint, DG Carbon fiber wing lip, door trims, and front grill. After that, just mods, mods, and more mods. Of course we are talking a long time...I am broke as a joke! :DLOL

It feels like it grabs the road better. I mean it should since it is sitting wider. Also, noticed the wheel straightens up faster as well. Don't plan on lowering though. I bet you would have to roll the fenders to do that successfully.

I just had my stealthbox installed the other week, went with a Polk DB840 8" with the rockford p200-2 amp, its a nice setup

I've got the eibach prokit so i dont think ill be going with that low of an offset.

Got any pics? If you don't mind my asking where did you mount the amp? and how did you do the preamp connections? One more LOL Did you leave the 5.25 hooked up under the seat?

yeah i finally put a thread up

amp on the back of the rear seat, I didnt do the install, line out converter mounted in the driver side kick panel run to back seat. Origionally the sub didnt want to fit flat in the box. I dont have the GT so i dont have the Bose system with amp/sub under the seat, made it a lot easier.

not too shabby.

are those the stock tires you have on there? It just looks bubbled out so to speak. If so, how is the handeling and do you have any pictures from the rear that shows the tire/fender alignment? Yadamean? Thanks!

not my cup of tea when it comes to rims... just something about the whole polished black rims with fat lip being played out. doesn't look right on most imports

I understand your opinion. See I don't know if something is "played out" or not. See I am much much older than the typical tuner person. My style represents my personal tastes not the lastest fashion. I come from an old school history of Cutlass's, 280 z's, and such. I love the lip because i have always loved the offset on rear wheel drive cars. Never been really able to put them on my front wheel drives for a pauper's price until now. For less than $700 they were delivered to my door, they don't rub, and they fit "my" style. Thanks for your opinion. Send me a pic of your tastes. I bet it looks good as well. Jamey

the rims appear to sit nicely with the fenders which is what i would like myself. But DAMN the front fender gap is huge! needs to be dropped a bit, and thats about it :)

Problem is that lowering the car would result in rubbing. It barely rubs with a full load (5 peeps) when I take curves too fast. Luckily I hardly ever have a full load.

if you want to lower it get coilovers you can make them stiff so it wont rub when its lowered

What coilovers do you like that are adjustable to that degree?
Just afraid the ride would become too hard though.

That is why I think I will leave the suspension alone. (deadhorse

nice flush set-up. a drop will make it tuck and poke nicely with the stretched stock rubber. not everyone's cup of tea, but the set-up looks great!

I appreciate your comments. I might consider a drop if it didn't make the ride "hard." May decide later on a set of suspension drops. For now, I need to get PayPal paid off so I can venture my next vehicle assault. LOL
BTW finally have everything I need for my stereo. Now I need the guts to start it!
