View Full Version : GI: DC metro area Go Kart meet

I wanted to see if we can get enough forum members together in the Washington DC metro area, Maryland, and Virginia for a day of indoor Karting. It would be a great opportunity to test your driving skills, engage in some fun competition and meet others members. The goal is to make this a fun annual event and maybe even get some local sponsors to join in.

When: Nov 8th at 4pm

Where: Allsports Grand Prix in Dulles VA

What you'll need: A valid drivers license, and closed toed shoes.

Depending on how many members are interested we can sign up for a Mini Grand Prix, 25 lap qualifier and a 40 lap race with a grid start. Or we could just do a couple of individual races.

Allsports Grand Prix is a great venue. The karts are fast, they provide all of your gear and the staff is great.

Please post if you are interested in attending, have any questions, or comments. Please get the word out so we can have a good turnout.

You don't have to participate in the mini grand prix. You can just do individual races.

Sounds fun! I'd definitely wanna meet some of y'all NoVa/DC people and this would be a good place for that. Keep posting if there's anything else going on locally!

You missed out man! It was a lot of fun. There was talk that we'll plan something again soon, maybe even make it semi-regular.

We had an ok turnout but LOTS of fun. The small group we had was competitive.

In a couple of days, I'll be posting details on the next Karting meet.
