Just about to buy these for my cb but would appreciate a little feed back first.
http://www.elementwheels.com/proddetail.asp?prod=TAWD51880Z
Anyone running with 18x8 +45 with 235 40 18's, if so any rubbing issues on stock suspension?
I'm making this hard for myself, i keep changing my mind from gold/black OZ leggs, to the tenzo to cheap Enkei RSV in gold or anthracite- too much choice when weighing up pros and cons of cost/weight/style(bang)
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?&initialPartNumber=W0171220453B&autoYear=2007&wheelMake=O.Z.&showRear=no&wheelFinish=Black+Painted&target=runWheelSearch&autoMake=Mazda&autoModClar=&i1_Qty=4&autoModel=MazdaSpeed3&wheelModel=Ultraleggera
http://www.streetdreams.org/wheels/rims/Enkei/RSV/Anthracite
even looked at these which i guess i havent ruled out yet-

Comments anyone?

that first one is SEX in bronze! Lovin it. But you need some serious coin to afford those AND those 235 tires. I am at a loss for offsets so I am still up in the air about buyign rims myself as I dont know what offsets are better for sitting more flush with the fender (40, 42, 47....???)

yeah, the coin is what puts me off the oz leggs but they are quality, but common, but fit good......argh my head...
thinking the tenzo's are good compromise but just not sure on rubbing.

cosmic blue? go with first ones, id love to see pics!! You kids are fucking killing me over here. I got some poo-poos when i first posted picture. but I love the wheels. I have the 18x8s with a 225/40/18 Nitto 555. I also have Cobb springs and lotsa other crap. happy to say no rubs, even with my big friends along for the ride. You can probably run 235/40 but really no need xcept looks. Oh yes, 45 offset and 21lbs. Recommended offset by Element. I love them and they continue to look good after a full season of use and abuse. A bargain and old school all together. I am the only person in the vast United americas who runs these on Cosmic Blue that I am aware of.

My fronts dont rub and its 2.5 inches, but the rear is 2 inches and it WOULD rub if it werent for the fact that my rear fenders are rolled.

I hope you are pleased with them, and glad you got a deal. sounds like a good combo and you should pick up some traction with those tires! Which lugnuts will you use 11? Maybe you can post up some pics. It sure does a fella good to hear some of the nice comments.

Thanks man. Dont know what 11 means with regards to lug nuts, the guy said he would throw some in, i am a little ignorant on this subject.

I am sorry by 11 I meant meha11(_*_). I got gorilla nuts with mine and they are alright being black. But i would like at some point, to get some some Work wheels lugnuts. maybe their blue ones. Seriously. Sorry i communicate so piss poor. I have been thinking about the lugnut colors for a long ass time and still have not decided. I am not a good with the ' car looks hot'. stuff. i just know what i like and am performance oriented anyways. But i think the rule of thumb is if YOU have black nuts on the bronze, I should have blue or red or purple even! We can be brothers but not twins. ha! just funnin a bit buddy

I had blue lugs on my cosmic blue speed and I got rid of them. They look retarded. I think chrome or black is the only way to go on this color. Or if someone makes a knock off version of them torched blue titanium lugs that are over $500. Those are sexy!

lol, there is now way i would ever have associated 11 with myself, i have enough trouble when people write meha. my screen name is an adaptation of me-hall which may or may not be the phonetic spelling of michael in Gaelic. (_*_) is supposed to be a bottom. All that aside i dont think lug nut colour would even enter my mind, as for $500's worth, oh hell no, they would have to be solid gold but even then they would be useless.

i would go with the tenzos man. i dunno how strong they are but they're pretty good for the price.. everybody has OZ's neway. and plus, bronze FTW

So now I can say, hey Mike! ok? You probably will get black which are nice with bronze for sure. I also could not see spending lots o'money on the quite nifty torched nuts just for appearance sake. But if some subtle color, not too flash come my way I will try them out. How long before the new shoes are on Michael?

it would be great to see more like that 2nd to last pic, I want to see how the bronze looks like with the cosmic blue in the sun. I've contemplated the Type M's in the flat bronze, but I want to see how it looks against the blue. If you could get more pics, that would be great!

got them on now, here are some pics for anyone else looking to run this size wheel and tire (18x8 +45 235/40/18). I am on stock suspension, i doubt they will rub, i never have any weight in the back and dont race.
I like the wheel colour, the flat bronze doesnt look bling bling which is good imo.

the line on the straight edge is where the inside lip of the fender aligned with the stock wheels and tires. New combo sticks out almost 3/4" more.

I bet the car handles a lot more aggressive now. Nice pictures. And this upgrade of style, performance and personalizing your car is pretty great for anyone who can. I have had the wheels, and tire mod for awhile and am still pleased by the looks. Congrats on your car.

Is the ride harsher or louder with this setup?

i noticed no negative issues at all, if anything i would say the road noise is less with these tires, it seems to be a good combination.
